The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee will commence the registration process for the Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering 2025 (GATE 2025) on Wednesday. Candidates will be able to fill out the GATE 2025 application form from August 28, 2024, on the official website gate2025.iitr.ac. The application window for the GATE 2025 exam will close on September 26. Students may complete and submit the application forms with late fees until October 7, 2024. GATE 2025 will be conducted on February 1, 2, 15 and February 16, 2024.
GATE 2025: How To Apply?
Step 1. Visit the official GATE website – gate2025.iitr.ac.in
Step 2. On the homepage click on the link that reads “GATE 2025 Registration”
Step 3. Now click on News registration and fill in the required details to generate the application number and password
Step 4. Now log in with the system-generated application number and fill out the GATE 2025 application form
Step 5. Pay the application fee and submit the application form
Step 6: Download the application form and save it for future reference
GATE 2025: Application Fee
Candidates are required to an application fee of Rs 1800 for GATE 2025 registration. After the deadline, the examination fees be Rs 2300. The exam fee for female, SC, ST, and PWD candidates is Rs 900 which will increase to Rs 1400 after September 26.
GATE 2025: Examination Pattern
GATE 2025 will be conducted in computer-based test (CBT) mode. The duration of the exam will be 3 hours exam. According to the official notification, candidates will be given to choose from 30 subjects and the candidate can apply for a maximum of two test papers. The two test paper combinations must be chosen from the list available on the official website.
The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a national-level exam used to evaluate applicants for admission to master’s and doctoral programmes in engineering, technology, science, architecture, and humanities as well as for employment with certain public sector organisations. The exam will be administered on behalf of the National Coordination Board (NCB), Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India by IISc Bengaluru and seven IITs, including IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, and IIT Roorkee.
