Gujarat HC Recruitment 2024: Applications Open For 244 Stenographers, 16 Translators; Details Inside

The Gujarat High Court recently announced vacancies for stenographers and translators. The last date for application is May 26. Interested candidates can visit the website of the Gujarat High Court and apply.

As per the recently released notification, there are 16 vacancies for the post of translator and 244 vacancies for stenographers. The notification elaborated that the vacancies are for English Stenographers in Grade II and Grade III.

Education Qualifications

The candidate should be a graduate of a recognised university to apply for the job of a translator. They must also have an understanding and a certificate of basic computer knowledge.

For Stenographers, the basic requirement for a candidate is to have a graduation degree in any stream. Stenographers should possess English short-hand speed for Grade II, which should be 120 words per minute. On the other hand, for Grade III, stenographers should possess an English short-hand speed of 100 words per minute.

What is the age limit?

For a translator, the candidate’s age limit has been set at a minimum of 18 years and a maximum of 35 years. Those belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Socially and Economically Backward Classes (SEBC) and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) and women will get a maximum age relaxation of five years, whereas Persons with Disabilities (PwD) will get 10 years relaxation. Ex-servicemen will get a relaxation of three years after deducting the years of service.

For stenographers at Gujarat High Court, the minimum age has been set to 21 years and the maximum age is 35 years. Candidates belonging to reserved categories will get relaxation as per the rules.

The candidate, who gets selected for the post of English Stenographer Grade II, will be paid a monthly salary ranging between Rs.44,900 to 1,42,400 and the candidates selected for the post of English Stenographer Grade III will be paid a monthly salary ranging from Rs.39,900 to 1,26,600. Translators will be paid somewhere between Rs 35, 400 to Rs 1,12, 400.
