IIT-Delhi Collaborates with Hebrew University of Jerusalem for Interdisciplinary Research
This collaboration will lead to impactful research outcomes in the field of Computer Science, Biomedical Science, Life science, Environment, and Chemistry

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (HUJI) has collaborated to support collaborative and interdisciplinary education and research.

The collaboration mainly aims at providing opportunities for joint research and exchange of students. It will help the students to get a broader aspect of the academic and entrepreneurial environments of the two institutions.

Talking about the collaboration, IIT Delhi Director V. Ramgopal Rao said that both the institutions have agreed to seed fund researchers in their respective institutions to collaborate with each other.

“I am sure these interactions will lead to long term partnerships between the two institutions benefiting the two countries”, he said in an official statement.

The professors at IIT Delhi are also looking forward to this collaboration as they find this partnership will lead to impactful research outcomes in the field of Computer Science, Biomedical Science, Life science, Environment, and Chemistry.

Talking about the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, it is a leading university and premier research institution of Israel which is ranked internationally among the top 100 universities globally. The faculty of the Hebrew University is at the forefront of the international academic and scientific communities.

It was founded in 1918 by innovative thinkers like Albert Einstein, Martin Buber, and Sigmund Freud. Nearly 23,500 students from 85 countries are part of this University. The varsity is a pluralistic institution where science and knowledge are advanced for societal benefit.

Meanwhile, IIT Delhi has also ranked in the top 100 QS World’s University ranking 2021 for its four programmes namely Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering.

The Institute is also ranked among India’s top institutions for its various programmes of Engineering including Electrical and Electronic, Mechanical, Mathematics and Computer Science & Information Technology.
