The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released the Round 1 seat allotment results for the NEET-UG 2024 counselling for MBBS and BDS admissions under the 15 per cent All India Quota (AIQ). NEET-qualified candidates who registered for MCC counselling before the deadline can now check their seat allotment status on the official website, mcc.nic.in.
India has a total of 1,12,112 MBBS seats available. The NEET UG seat allotment list will include details such as candidates’ NEET ranks, the allotted medical colleges, quotas, courses, and allotment statuses. According to the schedule, candidates who receive an admission offer in the NEET Round 1 counselling must report to their allotted colleges between August 24 and August 29. Verification of joined candidates’ data by the institutes, along with data sharing by the MCC, will occur between August 30 and 31.
The MCC shared, “The Security Deposit will be forfeited if a candidate who has been allotted a seat in the Second Round or subsequent rounds does not join the respective institution. Also, the Security Deposit will be forfeited if the admission gets cancelled due to any reason.”
If a candidate is not satisfied with the allotted seat, they can indicate their interest in upgrading to a higher preference that they had previously submitted.
