North Eastern Railway Apprentice Recruitment 2024 Underway for 1,104 Posts; Apply By July 11

Indian Railways has been one of the most extensively developed rail networks in the world. Every day, lakhs of passengers travel on the railways. With such efficient modes of transport, it is also one of the largest public sector employment providers in the country. Recently, the North Eastern Railway has invited applications for hiring for various apprentice posts.

Through the recruitment 1,104 vacant positions in North Eastern Railway will be filled. Candidates who are interested in being a part of North Eastern Railway and have cleared the eligibility requirements can apply online by visiting the official website of North Eastern Railway at ner.indianrailways.gov.in.

Registration for the recruitment started on June 12, and the last date to apply for the apprentice posts is July 11.

NER Recruitment 2024: Eligibility Criteria

In order to be eligible for the NER apprentice jobs, candidates should have passed 10th grade with at least 50 per cent marks and hold an ITI in the specified field.

Apart from that, the age of the candidate should be between 15 and 24 years as of June 12. However, for the SC/ST candidates, the upper age limit has been extended by 5 years, for OBC candidates, it is extended by 3 years, and the Divyang candidates will be given an age relaxation of 10 years.

NER Apprentice Recruitment 2024: How to Apply

Step 1: Visit the official website of NER, ner.indianrailways.gov.in.

Step 2: Go to ‘RRC NER Gorakhpur Apprentice Recruitment’ section.

Step 3: Click on ‘Apply Online Link’.

Step 4: Enter all the required information in the online form.

Step 5: Enter thumb impression and a photograph.

Step 6: Then pay the application fee online.

Step 7: Once the fee is paid, users will have to click on ‘Submit’.

NER Recruitment 2024: Selection Process

Candidates will be selected on the basis of merit by considering their average percentage marks in both matriculation and the marks achieved in the ITI examination. Candidates’ verification will be done in Gorakhpur. The candidates will also undergo medical tests before the final selection.
