As per the reports, this year, more than 2.97 lakh students appeared for the examination which was held between February 13 to March 6. Ahead of the board announcing the results along with the topper’s list, overall pass percentage, and details related to compartment exams, let us take a closer look at the passing marks and other crucial information.
Passing Criteria and Grading System
Passing marks are the minimum marks that any student requires in his or her paper to pass the examination. If any of the students is unable to meet the passing criteria they have to reappear for the examination. In the PSEB class 10 examination, the students are required to secure a minimum passing mark of 33 per cent. As per the reports, the Punjab State Board uses a seven-level grading system. It ranges from the highest score A1, down to D as the lowest score.

In 2023, the Punjab School Education Board announced the Class 10th result on May 26. In the examination, a total of 2,81,327 students appeared in the Class 10th exams while the passing percentage stood at 97.54 per cent. As per the reports, among the total female students in the state, 98.46 per cent passed the matriculation exam. While among the total male students, 96.73 per cent secured the examination.
