The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) Combined Graduate Level (CGL) examination 2024 application deadline has been extended till July 27. It was scheduled to conclude today, July 25 but has now been deferred. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the SSC CGL 2024 exam at the official website, ssc.gov.in.

According to the notification, a total of 17,727 vacancies will be filled through the recruitment drive.  The Staff Selection Commission has not yet released the exam date. However, it is expected that the SSC CGL 2024 Tier 1 exam can be conducted in September or October. This exam will be computer-based and exam centres will be set up across the country for this.

SSC CGL 2024 Recruitment: Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the SSC CGL 2024 vacancy, the candidate must be a graduate of a recognized university. Candidates between the ages of 18 to 32 years can apply for the job.

SSC CGL 2024 Recruitment: Steps to Apply

Step 1: Go to the official website at ssc.gov.in

Step 2: On the homepage, look for and click on the ‘Careers’ section.

Step 3: Click on the ‘Online application link’

Step 4: A new page will open. Candidates will have to register themselves.

Step 5: After logging in, fill out the application form as directed and pay the fee. The SSC CGL 2024 tier 1 application fee is Rs 100. Reserved category candidates need not pay any fee.

Step 6: Before submitting the form, all candidates are requested to cross-check the details.

Every year more than 20 lakh youth register for the SSC CGL exam. Through this, eligible candidates will be selected for Group B Gazetted and Non-Gazetted posts and Group C Staff posts. Through this, recruitment is done in various departments, ministries, and organisations. These include posts like Assistant Section Officer (ASO), Sub Inspector Narcotic, Upper Division Clerk, Tax Assistant, Assistant Inspector (CGST and Central Excise), Inspector, Assistant Enforcement Officer, and Sub Inspector (CBI).
