Eat something before you head out

Before heading out, you can consume a bowl of salad, sprouts, roasted channa, roasted peanut chaat, or fruits with yoghurt. This will make you feel full and prevent you from overindulging.

Do not skip your meals

When you skip meals, you feel more hungry and end up eating more.

Fill half of your plate with veggies

The expert stated, “Veggies increase the volume of your meal, letting you eat fewer calories for the same amount of food.”

Don’t take all your favourite food items together

Take each one at a time. This will keep you from overindulging.

While these tips can help you control your portions, avoid these three mistakes during the festive time.

Avoid unplanned drinks

Parties are incomplete without alcohol. But at the same time, they contain a lot of calories. To avoid overconsumption, set yourself an alcohol limit during festivities.

Do not skip exercise

We usually avoid or postpone our workout sessions during festivals. Avoid making this mistake as you may end up gaining extra kilos.

Avoid staying up late

Staying up late may lead to gastric issues and affect digestion. It may also lead you to binge on unhealthy snacks.
