Moneycontrol Pro Hits 1 Million Subscriber Mark: Industry Leaders, Fund Managers Laud Success
With a staggering tenfold growth over just five years, Moneycontrol Pro has catapulted to become the top subscription service in India and also secured a spot in the elite global top 15.

Moneycontrol Pro, India’s top digital financial platform, surpassed 1 million paid subscribers, a feat that is unmatched in India’s history. Industry leaders hailed this accomplishment as a testament to the platform’s commitment to delivering top-notch research, analysis and user experience.

Launched in 2019, Moneycontrol Pro reached 100,000 users within its first year. The platform grew 10-fold in five years, bolstering its position as India’s largest subscription platform and among the top 15 such digital platforms globally.

Nilesh Shah, Managing Director of Kotak Mahindra Asset Management Co. Ltd., praised Moneycontrol Pro for achieving this major milestone. “When Moneycontrol Pro began its journey, who would have imagined that a paid digital service would cross the 1 million mark. It’s a testimony to the quality of your research, ease of operating your app and most importantly, the reward one gets while using the same.”

Echoing similar sentiments, Samir Arora, founder of Helios Capital, highlighted the platform’s remarkable achievement of reaching the subscription figure amid abundant free online content. “In this age of free content everywhere on the internet, it is amazing to see MC Pro get a million paying subscribers. I’ve been a follower and user of Moneycontrol for a very long time.”

Anish Shah, Group CEO and managing director of Mahindra Group, also commended Moneycontrol Pro’s comprehensive coverage. “I’ve always enjoyed the depth of coverage and analysis you provide, which will undoubtedly bring many more milestones. Best wishes to the Moneycontrol team for reaching this milestone and future success.”

Rashesh Shah, co-founder of Edelweiss Group and a regular user, offered his unique perspective on Moneycontrol’s success. “It’s become the go-to site for anybody who wants to keep track of the Indian markets, the Indian economy, all the stories, all the analysis. I’m confident that this is just a milestone along the way to even future growth and many many years of delivering great content and great analysis.”

Extending his heartfelt congratulations to the Moneycontrol Pro team, Shankar Sharma, founder of GQuant and First Global, said, “I wish you many, many more years of continued and great success.”

Highlighting the platform’s value, Yashish Dahiya, Chairman and Group CEO of PB Fintech, emphasised Moneycontrol’s value proposition. “It is not easy to achieve a million subscribers in a paid capacity over the internet. So, that is a testament to the value being provided to customers. They are taking money out of their pockets and spending on something. That implies they are finding value in that particular analysis, which is fairly in-depth, incisive, and obviously adds value to the people. I believe this is just the start. This platform will continue to grow and do well.”

Echoing a similar sentiment, Saurabh Mukherjea, founder and CEO of Marcellus Investment Managers, said, “In India, making people pay for premium stock market content and high-quality equity research is challenging. I’m stunned and pleasantly surprised that Moneycontrol Pro has hit a million users so early in its existence. Congratulations to everybody at MC Pro.”

Moneycontrol Pro’s paywalled content sits on Moneycontrol, India’s largest business, markets and finance platform, which boasts 90 million unique visitors a month and over 8 million active app users. Its expanding fintech footprint allows users to secure personal loans, invest in fixed deposits, track their mutual funds and stock portfolios, manage all bank accounts, and check the platform’s credit scores.
