Liverpool-Everton derby ends in 2-2 draw
It was Dalglish's first match at Anfield since replacing Roy Hodgson as manager.

London: Liverpool drew 2-2 with local rival Everton in the Premier League on Sunday to leave Kenny Dalglish still without a win in his second spell in charge of the Reds.

It was Dalglish's first match at Anfield since replacing Roy Hodgson as manager but he needed a 68th-minute penalty by Dirk Kuyt to rescue a point in the Merseyside derby.

Raul Meireles gave Liverpool the lead in the 29th but Sylvain Distin and Jermaine Beckford scored goals for Everton in the space of six minutes at the start of the second half to turn the game on its head.

There were two other derby matches in England's top division, with Birmingham-Aston Villa and Sunderland-Newcastle both finishing 1-1.

League leader Manchester United visits Tottenham later on Sunday.
