New Delhi: One question every person who has to travel with kids in the backseat must deal with every five minutes is ‘are we there yet?’
Google has finally realised the need to inject some of the scolding momma traits into its mapping service, which loses patience if fired with the same question again and again.
The latest version of Google Maps has a funny response if you ask it four times in a row ‘are we there yet?'.
If you tap on the microphone and ask this question, initially it will tell you how many hours or minutes you are away from your destination. However, continuous prodding irks the digital assistant which replies with an increasingly terse ‘no.’
You dare ask again and it will threaten you with, “If you ask me again, we won’t stop for ice cream.”
Mirror notes that this is the latest addition Google has placed inside its ‘Easter Eggs’ technology. Easter Eggs are built into websites and apps to entertain users, if they are able to crack the code.
The updated version of Google Maps also includes a new Your Timeline feature that shows you all the places or locations you have visited in the past. You can further add pictures to the timeline to have a customised journal of your past visits.
