Bhutia scored a perfect striker's goal, the lone goal of the game.
New Delhi: The Indian football team continued their good run in the Nehru Cup here in the Capital beating Bangladesh by a solitary goal on Monday.
Captain Baichung Bhutia scored a perfect striker's goal, sliding home a miscued shot from a difficult angle in only the fifth minute of the match to win the game for India 1-0.
It was Bhutia's second goal in as many matches in the tournament.
Bangladesh put up a good fight but the Indian defence held firm. But it was goalkeeper Subrata Paul's performance that got him the man of the match.
