Madrid: Real Madrid have no plans to make a move for FC Barcelona's Ronaldinho.

Ronaldinho's future at the Camp Nou has come under question following reports in Spain that the Brazil midfielder is upset with a drop in playing time. He has so far been linked with a move to Chelsea or AC Milan in the January transfer window.

"We have many really good players and a player like Ronaldinho we wouldn't sign, we don't have room," Madrid sporting director Predrag Mijatovic told Spanish television station Cuatro.

Spanish newspaper Marca reported on Thursday that a move to Stamford Bridge could cost Chelsea as much as $146 million, with Ronaldinho earning $14.6 million per season.

Ronaldinho has featured as a substitute in the Catalan club's last two games, both draws. It was the first time since the Brazil midfielder's arrival from Paris Saint-Germain in 2003 that he hasn't started when healthy.

"It's not normal that a player of such importance as Ronaldinho is so inactive," Mijatovic added. "I'm sure he'd like to be able to leave because it's difficult to stay patient when you're a substitute."

Ronaldinho's drop in form this year has come under heavy scrutiny by the Catalan press.

Midfielder Edmilson has said a "black sheep" in Barcelona's locker room was a disturbance, and off-field problems between Ronaldinho and Samuel Eto'o were partly blamed for the club's first trophyless campaign in three years last season. Ronaldinho's social life is also a rabid topic.

"I don't like to talk about rivals ... but at this moment Madrid have a better ambiance within the locker room," Mijatovic said. "Every day one of their players comes out with some kind of claim - that is maybe correct but harmful. At this moment they are living a complicated situation."

In April, Milan president Silvio Berlusconi said he had put aside Euro100 million to bring Ronaldinho to the San Siro once the 27-year-old Brazilian fulfilled his Barcelona contract through 2010.

Ronaldinho's brother and agent, Roberto Assis, said then that Milan were the player's first option if he leaves.

Barcelona are second in the Spanish league table with 28 points, four behind Madrid.
