Harry Redknapp has been named Premier League manager of the season
LONDON: Tottenham announced that Harry Redknapp has been named Premier League manager of the season after taking the club into the Champions League.
The 63-year-old Londoner eclipsed Carlo Ancelotti, who has put Chelsea on the brink of the Premier League title, and Roy Hodgson, who has taken Fulham to its first final, the inaugural Europa League.
Redknapp also guided Portsmouth to an FA Cup triumph two years ago and rescued Spurs from the threat of relegation last season, taking over when the team was in last place with only two points from eight games.
Redknapp told the Spurs website his award was all down to the players' achievement.
