Mattia Destro scored a sensational goal from near the halfway line to seal Roma's win on Saturday.
Milan: Mattia Destro scored a stunning goal from near the halfway line to help Roma beat Hellas Verona 2-0 on Saturday as the capital side maintained its perfect record in Serie A.
Destro controlled Morgan De Sanctis' goal kick before smacking it into the back of the net on the half volley from more than 40 yards.
The goal, four minutes from time, secured the points after substitute Alessandro Florenzi had given Roma the lead in the 75th, pouncing onto a slack pass and firing into the bottom right corner.
Along with Juventus, Roma were the only other side winning their opening four matches.
There was a party atmosphere as Roma celebrated captain Francesco Totti's 38th birthday.
