Sunderland come up with a bid for striker Floccari

With just three days remaining for the start of the English Premier League, Sunderland have come up with a bid for Sergio Floccari from Lazio.

According to report in Il Corriere dello Sport, manager Paolo Dio Canio is planning to add another player from Italy, before their campaign takes off.

The Black Cats manager has even convinced the striker's agent to to visit England in order to negotiate a deal between the two sides.

Floccari, with a year left on his contract has played a secondary role to premiere striker Morislav Klose and has managed to hit the nets on ten occasions in all competitions. In all likeliness, the 31-year-old is considering a move to England.
