Christian Horner's Wife in 'Flood of Tears' After Investigation Against Red Bull Boss for 'Inappropriate Behaviour'
Red Bull Racing team principal Christian Horner is the subject of an independent investigation after an employee of the outfit complained of inappropriate behaviour.

Red Bull Racing has launched an independent investigation after one of their staffers complained of inappropriate behaviour by the team principal Christian Horner. Former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell, who is married to Horner, was reportedly left in tears while insisting on his husband’s innocence.

“Geri has been in floods of tears all weekend while looking after her kids. She is insisting Christian has done nothing wrong,” The Sun quoted a source close to Geri as saying.

Horner, a former racing driver himself, married Geri in 2015 and the couple has a seven-year-old son together.

Horner has been Red Bull Racing team principal since 2005 and has overseen the outfit win seven Formula 1 driver’s championships and six constructors titles.

Red Bull have issued a statement saying the investigation is underway and will be completed as soon as ‘practically possible’.

“After being made aware of certain recent allegations, the company launched an independent investigation (into Christian Horner),” Red Bull Racing said in a statement.

“This process, which is already underway, is being carried out by an external specialist barrister. The company takes these matters extremely seriously and the investigation will be completed as soon as practically possible. It would not be appropriate to comment further at this time,” it added.

Another report quoted Horner as ‘completely denying these claims’.

The Sun further quoted as Red Bull Racing source as saying that the team will not be issuing any further statement.

“Nothing further is being added to ensure the integrity of the investigation is respected. Christian has issued a denial and we’re hoping for a swift and speedy resolution,” the source was quoted as saying.

Horner became the youngest F1 team principal in history when he landed the role at Red Bull Racing in 2005.

He has overseen a highly successful rein including the last F1 season that his Red Bull winning 21 of the 22 races as Max Verstappen stormed to a hat-trick of titles.
