4 Simple Ways to Know if You’ve Been Blocked on Snapchat
Are you worried you've been blocked on Snapchat? When someone blocks you on Snapchat, you'll be unable to see their profile or send them Snaps. However, this can also be a sign of the user deleting their account entirely. If you think you may have been blocked by someone, there are plenty of ways to know. This wikiHow will show you how to check if a friend has blocked your account on Snapchat using your iPhone, iPad, or Android.
Things You Should Know
  • To check if you're blocked, look for a recent conversation with the user. If it disappeared, you're blocked.
  • Tap the magnifying glass icon to search for the user. If they don't appear, they may have blocked you.
  • If the user is no longer on your friend list, they may have simply deleted you.

Check Your Recent Conversations

Open Snapchat. This looks like white ghost on a yellow background. If you aren't already logged in, tap Log in to do so now. If you chatted recently with the user, they should still appear in your Chat tab. If you're blocked, any recent chats with the user will disappear.

Tap the "Chat" icon. This is the text box icon on the bottom toolbar, to the left of the camera. You'll see a list of all your recently messaged friends.

Look for the user's chat. If you chatted with the user recently, the chat should be towards the top of the screen. If you don't see it, it's very likely you have been blocked.

Check Your Friend List

Open the Snapchat app. This is the white ghost with a yellow background.

Tap your profile icon. This will be at the top-left corner, regardless of which tab you're in. A new page will open.

Scroll down and tap My Friends. This will be underneath the Friends header.

Look for the user. You can use the search bar at the top to type the username directly, or scroll up and down to navigate. If the user doesn't appear, they most likely deleted you, but this doesn't necessarily mean they blocked you.

Search for Usernames

Open the Snapchat app. This is the white ghost with a yellow background.

Tap the magnifying glass icon. This will be in the top-left corner, next to your profile picture.

In the search field, enter the username. The search results should load below.

View the profile. If you don't see the user's profile pop up, it's very likely you have been blocked, or they have deleted their account.

Search With a Different Account

Log into Snapchat with a different account. You must first log out of your current account. Then, enter the login information for an alternate account. If you don't have an alternate account, you can ask a friend to search for the username for you. Use this method to double-check the user blocked you rather than deleted their entire account.

Tap the magnifying glass icon. This will be in the top-left corner, next to your profile picture.

In the search field, enter the username. The search results should load below.

View the profile. If the user's profile pops up, you have been blocked on your other account. If you don't see the user's profile, the user may have disabled their account, or you're also blocked on this account.

What's your reaction?
