Add a new contact to Signal on your Android or iPhone. Signal uses your smartphone’s contacts list rather than allowing you to add them manually. See Add an Android Contact or Add a Contact on an iPhone to learn how to add contacts to your phone.
Sync new Signal contacts on your phone. The steps to do this depend on your phone: Android: In the Settings app, tap Accounts and select Signal. Tap ⁝, then select Remove Account. Open Signal, tap ⁝ or ☰, and tap Refresh. The contacts will sync. iPhone: Open Signal after adding the contact to your phone. Signal will automatically sync new contacts.
Open Signal on your computer. If you’re using a Mac, it’ll be in the Applications folder. If you have Windows, you’ll find it in the Windows Start menu. The Signal desktop app must already be linked to Signal on your smartphone or tablet.
Click ⁝. It’s at the top of the left column.
Click Settings. This opens the Settings panel.
Scroll down and click Import now. It’s under the “Contacts” header. Any new Signal contacts you’ve added to your smartphone will now import into Signal on your computer.
