Navigate to https://www.reddit.com/ in a web browser. If you are not already logged in to your Reddit account, click LOG IN near the top-center area of the page to do so now. If you’re not yet a member of the Reddit community, click SIGN UP near the top-right corner to create an account now. To create a subreddit, you must meet certain requirements: Your account must be at least 30 days old, and you must have some amount of positive karma. The positive karma requirements are kept private to prevent spam on the site.
Click CREATE COMMUNITY. It’s at the top of the rightmost column of your Reddit homepage. If you’ve switched your version of Reddit back to the older version, click Create your own subreddit instead.
Enter your subreddit’s details. On this page, you can create your subreddit name, theme color, description, and more. This is yours, so customize it up to your liking. Name: The name will be a part of your subreddit’s website address. For example, if you named your subreddit ″wikihow,″ the address to your subreddit would be https://reddit.com/r/wikihow. Names are permanent, cannot contain spaces, and should not include registered trademarks. Title: This will appear at the top of the subreddit. Description: This is where you’ll explain the purpose of your subreddit. Sidebar: Text and links you want to appear in the right sidebar of your subreddit should be entered here. Submission text: Enter the text you want redditors to see when they create a new post on your subreddit. Other preferences: Examine each of the remaining options, including colors, viewer requirements, types of posts you want to allow, and language. Choose the options that work best for your needs.
Click Create. It’s at the bottom of the form. Your subreddit is now created and ready to use.
