How to Upgrade to Mac OS X Lion
OS X Lion includes a new feature for managing your apps called LaunchPad. The interface is almost identical to the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch home screen, allowing you to easily view, launch, and manage your apps in one convenient location. This article will walk you through the process of deleting apps from LaunchPad in Mac OS X Lion.
Steps

Click the Apple menu followed by “About this Mac” to check to make sure your Mac is compatible with Lion. Your Mac must have at least an Intel Core 2 Duo, Xeon processor, Core i3, Core i5, or Core i7.

Click the “App Store” icon in your dock to launch the Mac App store. Note: You will have to upgrade to at least Mac OS X 10.6.7 using Software Update to access the Mac App Store.

Search for “Lion” in the search bar in the upper right corner of the Mac App Store.

Select “OS X Lion” from the search results.

Click the “$29.99” button followed by the green “Buy App” button. You may be prompted to enter your Apple ID if you haven’t already.

Follow the onscreen instructions to install Lion.
