Rashmika Mandanna Stands Strong, Poses With Ranbir in 1st Public Outing Since Viral DeepFake Video
Rashmika Mandanna shot for an episode of Unstoppable With NKB alongside her Animal co-star Ranbir Kapoor.

Rashmika Mandanna put up a strong front as she made her first public appearance since the deepfake video went viral. The actress made her way to the sets of Unstoppable With NBK to promote her upcoming Hindi film, Animal. Rashmika was joined by her co-star Ranbir Kapoor. In photos shared by Aha on X, previously known as Twitter, Rashmika was seen wearing a black saree on the occasion. In the pictures, Rashmila was seen sporting a big smile as she posed for the cameras.

She was also seen teaching Ranbir the finger heart sign, popular among K-drama and K-pop fans, as they posed for the cameras. The duo was joined by Animal director Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Sharing the photos, Aha wrote, “Idi sample mathrame. asalu sisalu show abhi baaki hei mere dosth!Get ready for wildest entertainment Feast with team.”

Last week, Rashmika was subjected to a deepfake video. A morphed video of the actress had gone viral, with her face placed on a different woman’s body. Amitabh Bachchan flagged it, demanding for a legal action and soon after, Rashmila issued a statement condemning the act.

In a statement issued on her Instagram Stories and X, Rashmika said, “I feel really hurt to share this and have to talk about the deepfake video of me being spread online. Something like this is honestly, extremely scary not only for me, but also for each one of us who today is vulnerable to so much harm because of how technology is being misused.”

“Today, as a woman and as an actor, I am thankful for my family, friends and well wishers who are my protection and support system. But if this happened to me when I was in school or college, I genuinely can’t imagine how could I ever tackle this. We need to address this as a community and with urgency before more of us are affected by such identity theft,” she added. It is reported that necessary steps are being taken.
