17 injured in bus-lorry collision

KOCHI: Around 17 passengers were injured, two of them seriously, when a KSRTC bus collided with a lorry at Madakkathanam near Thodupuzha around 8 pm on Monday. Two people who suffered serious injuries were taken to Kolenchery Medical College. One of the injured was later shifted to a private hospital in Kochi. The police said many people were injured and were admitted to hospitals in Thodupuzha and Vazhakulam.  According to officials, the bus was going from Ernakulam to Thodupuzha when the accident occurred.
