HYDERABAD: Two minors, whose mother was killed a month back, approached the police on Friday seeking protection from their stepfather fearing their lives. The boy, a ninth class student and the girl studying in class VIII, approached Humayunnagar assistant commissioner of police T Nagaraj Kumar and complained they fear danger to their lives from their step-father, Gowri Shankar Shukla.The children’s mother, Reeta Devi was murdered a month ago by some persons who are known to the family. After the death of their mother, the children are staying with Shukla who was allegedly harassing the two.Though no case has been registered, police asked the children to call their family elders and also told Shukla it is his responsibility to take care of the children.
