Badwani: Twenty-one people, including five women and two children, were killed and four injured when a jeep carrying them collided head-on with an oil container in this Madhya Pradesh district today, police said.
The mishap took place between the Gawadi-Jamania area near the district when the victims in the overcrowded jeep were returning from Bijasan after offering Durga puja prayers there.
The deceased, all residents of Sendhwa near here, police said.
The jeep, which dashed with the oil container, on its way to Maharashtra, was completely destroyed due to the impact of the collision, police said.
