SAMBALPUR: Sambalpur Mahila Police have arrested eight persons, including a woman for luring girls with the promise of marriage and taking them outside the State. They were remanded in judicial custody on Sunday.Those arrested have been identified as Narendra Agasthy, Braja Mohan Mishra, Paramlal Dubey, Kali Prasad Dubey, Kalari Prasad Dubey and Babloo Prasad Dubey of Madhya Pradesh besides Champa Pradhan and Seshadeb Pradhan of Kisinda in the district.Reports said that a well-organised racket has been operating which lures poor girls by promising them highly paid jobs and marriage.On May 26, the accused from Madhya Pradesh arrived at Buruguda village under Kisinda police limits and offered marriage proposal to parents of two minor girls.On Friday night while they were waiting to board a train at Sambalpur railway station, Mahila Police raided the place and nabbed the accused besides rescuing the girls.
