BHUBANESWAR: Even as the BJD MLAs protested against crackdown on Anna Hazare and his aides in the Assembly, the Biju Yuva Janata Dal staged a demonstration in front of Raj Bhavan over the issue describing it as undemocratic. Alleging that the incident has exposed the fascist tendencies in the Congress, BYJD president Sanjay Dasburma said it was a panic reaction of the Centre to cover up the 2G spectrum, Adarsh Housing and Commonwealth Games scams.Dasburma warned that people of the country would never tolerate the manner in which the Centre was trying to gag Hazare and his aides. The BYJD criticised Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for his statement in Parliament that there was no option before the government but to arrest Hazare. Several BJD MLAs Bijay Mohanty, Bhagirathi Badjena, Sameer Ranjan Das, Preeti Ranjan Ghadei, Chandrasarathi Behera, Sudarshan Jena, Ramesh Rout, Debendra Kanhar, Pradeep Panigrahi, Rajendra Das and Raghunath Sahu, Mayor Anant Narayan Jena, BJD general secretary Narendra Swain, former mayor Mihir Mohanty and BJD Bhubaneswar district president Sarat Mishra addressed the protest meeting.
