A Trust speaks on evolution

CHENNAI: The Babaji Sree Chakra Dhyana Kendra and Charitable Trust released a documentary on Kriya consciousness on Sunday. The documentary speaks about the theory of evolution, the presence of the god within that is yet to be realised, the present state of humankind that is thoroughly confused and the process of bringing in Kriya consciousness. The documentary also contains an introduction to Mahavataar Babaji and talks by Guruji Yogi Janardhanan, the acharya of the Kendra.The documentary was released as part of the fourth anniversary celebration of the trust by Madras High Court Justice Jothi Mani. On the occasion, he spoke on the importance of the teachings of Mahavatar Babaji, who came in the lineage of the Siddha poet Tirumoolar and Bhogar.The objectives of the trust are to teach the Brahma Gnana Kriya Yoga and the Ashtanga Yoga of Pathanjali, universal meditation on the Shree Chakra and the Nava Grahas. It also teaches yogasanas, pranayama and meditation with reference to the body mind and soul.Sri P Janardhanan Guruji, founder-president of the trust said that there was an energy that filled the universe. That energy is present in all creatures, living and dead. The universe is nothing but this flow of energy from the highest source to all beings, including humans, and finally absorbed into the earth.Felicitating the members of the Trust, P Sakthivelu, DIG of police of Tamil Nadu, highlighted the importance of spirituality in every walk of life as karma yoga, bhakti yoga or jnana yoga.M Murali, managing director of Sri Krishna Sweets, said that gratitude and complete surrender was the peak of devotion. Each day brings with it numerous miracles when a person functions from this complete state of surrender.Other speakers included R Paneer Selvam Chettiar, Chairman and MD of the Rohini Group, Kalaimamani Ramjee, editor, Makkal Kural and Dr Jagadish Shiva.
