Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation commissioner M T Krishna Babu directed the chief engineer to issue charge memos to assistant engineers (AEs) who are not found on the site when works are being executed.
He also asked them to stop their increments.
The AEs must be in the field and supervise the works, the commissioner said and added that if any negligence is committed by contractors, they should be blacklisted.
The c ommi s s i one r pointed out that the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Suppy & Sewarage Board has not taken up the ramp works at the PVNR Expressway and directed the chief engineer to coordinate with the board on the issue.
He also asked the officials to remove cables from PVNR Express to HICC and Assembly to Sanathnagar.
