Additional posts for Puducherry, Karaikal

PUDUCHERRY: The Central government has sanctioned 38 additional posts in the Department of Revenue and Disaster management  for Puducherry,  communicating the same to the government on February 5.21 posts were for Karaikal which became a district and 17  for Puducherry. The posts are that of additional district magistrate, deputy collector, revenue officers, tahsildar, deputy tahsildars for Karaikal, and disaster management in Puducherry.DMK MLA  from Karaikal A M H Nazeem urged the government to issue a notification and said that if posts filled up, the administration could be strong. The collectors should put up the file to the government for notification by the Lieutenant governor, chief secretary M Sathiyavathy told Express.
