The syllabus and pattern for the Assam Direct Recruitment Exam (ADRE), which will be conducted for the second time in the state for the third and fourth grades, have already been released. The exam pattern will be as follows:
For the third grade positions, the written exam will include 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Each question will have a negative marking of 1/4 ( 0.25 points). For example, a 1-point question will have a negative marking of 0.25 points. There will be a total of 150 questions with a total of 150 marks, and the exam will be conducted over 3 hours.
For higher secondary level positions, the written exam will also consist of 150 questions with a total of 150 marks, conducted over 3 hours.
For the fourth-grade positions, the exam will be conducted in two separate branches: one for candidates with educational qualifications up to the 8th grade, and another for candidates with qualifications up to the 10th grade. Both branches will have questions from English, Social Studies, Mathematics, General Knowledge, and Mental Ability and Logical Reasoning. The question paper will be available in Assamese, Bengali, English, Bodo, and Hindi. There will be a total of 135 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), each carrying 1 mark. Each question will have a negative marking of 1/4 ( 0.25 points).
