New Delhi: It seems director Sachin Kundalkar's 'Aiyyaa' had failed to make any mark at the box office. The film has collected a meager amount of Rs 4.7 crore in its first weekend. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweets, "#Aiyyaa - Opening Weekend *revised* 4.7 cr nett. Disaster!"
'Aiyyaa' revolves around a bubbly Marathi girl Meenakshi Deshpande who is madly in love with a South Indian boy. Prithviraj Sukumaran has played the role of a South Indian brat in the film whose smell attracts Meenakshi.
'Aiyyaa' was expected to be the comeback film of Rani Mukerji. The songs of the film created a lot of buzz before the film. The promos also seemed interesting, however the film doesn't seem to fetch many eyeballs in first three days.
Before 'Aiyyaa', Rani Mukerji was seen in 'No One Killed Jessica'.
