THRISSUR: Kerala Congress (M) state general secretary A L Sebastian, 62, died in Pavaratty here on Tuesday following a heart attack. Sebastian was undergoing a domiciliary treatment at his home over the past few days after suffering a mild cardiac arrest a week ago.As his condition worsened on Tuesday morning, he was shifted to the St Joseph Hospital but was declared brought dead.A teacher by profession, Sebastian started his political career as a student. He had served the party in different capacities’ as the state executive member, Thrissur district party president (24 years), Youth Front state secretary, state Housing Board member, Kerala Karshaka Union state president and Pavaratty grama panchayat president.He had also unsuccessfully contested in the Assembly elections from Irinjalakuda constituency in 1991. He was a teacher and headmaster of St Joseph High School, Pavaratty. Sebastianis survived by wife Daisy.The funeral will be held at the St Joseph’s Church Parish cemetery at Pavaratty at 3.30 pm on Wednesday.
