BANGALORE: “The purpose of conducting this fashion show was to encourage kids in the city who have interests in ramp walking, ”said Santosh, program organiser,“And, if they are interested, they might be even selected to work as models or filmstars in future.” Rap singer Neol, who attended the event as the guest of honour, was bowled over by how adorable the little ramp walkers looked. “The kids are adorable! They are not only talented, but also have immense confidence that is clearly showcased in their style of walking the ramp,” said the singer.The evening of fashion witnessed around 20 performers from different schools in the city --- which were divided into three groups --- the first group had kids aged 2 to 4 years, the second from 6 to 10 years and last from 11 to 14 years. The little fashionistas were not just dressed up in outfits emulting the latest trends --- some of them had also donned traditional clothes. There audience, mostly occupied by parents, were very encouraging and happy to see their tiny tots on the ramp. Sudha Pastogi, mother of four-year-old Ananya Rastagi said that her daughter had been trained for four days before coming to the stage and so she knew that her daughter would perform well. “Such events are great platforms for children to showcase their beauty and also to learn how to ramp walk,” opined Sudha. The show ended with great big smiles on everyone’s faces.
