KOTTAYAM: The five persons arrested in connection with the death of Aneesh of Pullathusseri house, Chingavanam, were released on Thursday . The release order came after the postmortem report in the case stated that the death was caused by asphyxiation due to airway obstruction by food particles. Aneesh, 22, died on Wednesday midnight, following a clash during the Chingavanam Pakkil Temple festival. “We could not find any bruise or wounds on his body. And as per the postmortem report, we cannot assume that this was a case of murder,” Chingavanam CI Sreekumar told Express. However, the police have registered a case of unnatural death and an investigation has begun. The earlier report stated that Aneesh was beaten to death by a group of men. Meanwhile, protest against the incident still continues. The DYFI in the area observed a dawn -to -dusk hartal at Chingavanam on Thursday, in protest against the death.
