New Delhi: Former television producer and anchor Suhaib Ilyasi will be tried for the murder of his wife Anju Ilyasi in 2000, as ruled by the Delhi High Court on Tuesday.
Ilyasi was arrested on March 2000 after he was accused of murder by his sister-in-law and mother-in-law. However, there was a stay order on his trial.
29-year-old Anju Ilyasi died on the night of January 10, 2001 following excessive bleeding from what forensic reports then said were self-inflicted stab wounds.
