Action would be initiated against all those who perpetrate such illegal acts, which has been clearly banned by the Supreme Court, VC (In Charge) of Anna University, P Kaliraj, warned on Saturday.  Speaking to Express over the phone, he said that students who are subjected to ragging should not fear to lodge a formal complaint with the college officials, who are expected to initiate stringent action immediately.If the management of the college failed to respond, they can approach the varsity directly, which will ensure action.  “Students should come forward and report it to us. We will ensure adequate action is taken,” he said.Kaliraj said students can also report if the managements demand fee in excess of what has been fixed by the respective committee. “Some students fear that they might be targeted if they come out with such details.They can inform us even without revealing their names.
