KOZHIKODE: Kozhikode Vigilance court on Thursday granted anticipatory bail to Minister for Health Adoor Prakash in a case of demanding bribe for allotting ration depots when he was Minister for Food and Civil Supplies in the previous UDF government.Vigilance Court Judge V Jayaram approved the request of Adoor Prakash who appeared before the court to avert him from personal appearance. The case will consider again on December 19. The case was filed by former KPCC leader and president of Ration Dealers Association Abdul Rahman. He alleged that the Minister had demanded a bribe of `25 crore from him for allotting ration depots in Omassery. The Kozhikode Vigilance Bureau had filed a charge sheet against Minister Adoor Prakash and some officials in the case which registered in 2008. The court accepted the final report submitted on February 28, 2011 in the case.
