Big B tries hand at script writing

Mumbai: Bollwywood icon Amitabh Bachchan is helping write the script of one of his new films, a rare career move for the superstar traditionally known as a director's actor, a newspaper reported on Wednesday.

Bachchan, 63, is assisting in developing the script of Johnny Walker, the first film he signed after recovering from intestine surgery last year, the national daily said.

"I am excited about Johnny Walker hence more involved," the daily quoted Bachchan as saying.

Although the script has been in the works for the last one year, the makers of the film, directed by newcomer Soojit Sircar, have refused to reveal its storyline.

Media reports have speculated that it is a love story.
