BHUBANESWAR: The BJP on Wednesday demanded resignation of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for the liquor tragedy which had already claimed 31 lives. Party State president Jual Oram visited the villages where tragedy had struck and later took part in a road blockade organised by BJP activists at Phulnakhara.After this tragedy, the Chief Minister has no moral right to continue in office, Oram said and demanded a compensation of ` 10 lakh to each of the bereaved families.Alleging that the liquor tragedy is the result of BJD misrule, Jual Oram said the people of the State will give a fitting reply to the Government in the ensuing panchayat elections.Oram also visited SCB Medical in Cuttack and enquired about the condition of those undergoing treatment.
