Marathi Actor Sunil Barve To Make His TV Comeback After 11 Years With This Serial

Sunil Barve is one of the prominent figures in the Marathi film industry. The actor initially kickstarted his career as a radio jockey, before transitioning into small roles in serials and theatres. Prior to becoming a star, he had already made his mark in several popular Marathi films and serials. Recently, the actor is making headlines as he is coming again in a new role to rule the hearts of the audience. According to reports, Sunil Barve will make a comeback on Zee Marathi after 11 years. He is coming to the audience with a totally new look and a new role. He will be seen in the popular Marathi serial Paaru. He will be playing the role of Sayajirao, the brother of Ahilyadevi Shrikant Kirloskar, played by Mugdha Karnik in the serial.

In a recent media interaction, the actor shared about his comeback on Zee Marathi and his latest project Paaru. Sunil Barve said, “There was always an eagerness to work on Zee Marathi because Zee Marathi serial is a pioneer in the universe, and I have worked with Zee Marathi’s Kunku till 2012. So there is an affinity, as is the case with Doordarshan Kendra. Ever since the private channel started, Zee Marathi has helped shape the careers of many artists. Now, the eagerness to work with Zee Marathi again is different.’

He also added, “I am getting a very good response for the role of Sayajirao. When the Sayajirao promo came out, many people were saying that Narasimha Rao is back. The audience still remembers my serial Kunku from 11 years ago. I am very happy that the serial and my role are still fresh in people’s hearts. When I got the call for the role in Paaru serial, I was happy to do something new. Audiences may remember Narasimha when they see me on screen, but Sayajirao is very different. Even though Sayajirao is the leader of the village, he is soft as a person, and it is that uniqueness that gives me energy for this role’, Sunil also said.

Paaru is an official remake of Zee Telugu’s TV series Muddha Mandaram. It stars Sharayu Sonawane, Prasad Jawade, and Mugdha Karnik in lead roles. It premiered on February 12, 2024, and was directed by Raju Sawant.
