BANGALORE: Warning the state government against any move to wind up the Lokayukta institution in the state, Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president Dr G Parameshwar reiterated his demand to initiate action against those indicted by the Lokayukta report on illegal mining.Addressing the media here on Wednesday, he referred to Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda’s recent comments against the Lokayukta and said that the government was not in favour of fighting corruption.“The CM has no right to make such comments against the ombudsman; instead, he can approach the High Court or Supreme Court if he has any grievances against it,” he said.Criticising the state government for not bothering to inform the Lokayukta institution on the action taken on its findings.
