Blind teacher who uses ICT

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Spurred by just five days of basic computer training given by Insight, Sunny P O was in for a real race learning softwares. During free hours and intervals, this man spent his time in the dull glow of the computers at the school lab. By the time IT programme was introduced in the school, Sunny had become well-versed in the softwares. ‘’I tried and tried and gradually I could work with new education softwares. I was confident that I could teach my students what I have learnt,’’ he says. Cyril, who always accompanies Sunny, says that he is proud of his father. ‘’I am happy to be with him wherever he goes. He knows a lot of things and I am proud of my father,’’ says Cyril.
