Bollywood reacts to journo J Dey's murder
Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar said, "I'm stunned and benumbed by the sad demise of J Dey."

Mumbai: The murder of senior crime reporter J Dey in a broad day light in Mumbai on Sunday has sent shock waves in the Bollywood, with several B-town personalities expressing grief. Dey, who extensively covered underworld and crime for English tabloid Mid Day, was shot dead on Sunday afternoon by four unidentified men in suburban Powai.

"My condolences to the family of the slain journalist Mr J Dey. Sometimes courage is never appreciated. Sad," actor Aftab Shivdasani said on twitter.

Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar said, "I'm stunned and benumbed by the sad demise of J Dey a courageous crime journalist... R.I.P."

"I remember J Dey as a cheery chap who covered a dirty beat. Gentle giant, we called him at the Express. Always had a juicy scoop to share!," Film critic Rajeev Masand tweeted.

"Shocking news: just in that Midday Reporter J Dey has been shot dead. Truely a sad moment! RIP Deyji," actress Minissha Lamba said. "The war is on. RIP J Dey," Actor Ranvir Shorey said. Actress Sonam Kapoor, said: "Horrible and shocking".
