MANDYA: Well wishers of B S Yeddyurappa celebrated his birthday at his native village, Bookanakere, by praying for his health. The birthday celebrations was a low-key affair without buntings, lighting or cutouts. Yeddyurappa fans held a special pooja at Siddalingeshwara temple, Kavileshwara and Gogalamma temples, in the village, praying that he would soon come out clean on all corruption charges. They said that crores of rupees had been sanctioned for the development of the village.Fora say it with blood B S Yeddyurappa Abhimanigala Sangha and PES Trust organised 70th birthday celebrations of the former CM here on Monday by organising blood donation camp and special pooja in Ganapathi temple. Yeddyurappa’s daughter, B Y Arunadevi made a pitch for blood donation.On the occasion, trust felicitated one Yajnanarayana Dixit, who has donated blood for as many as 90 times.
