Brahmapuram: Disbanding of Vigilance team flayed

The statement pointed out that the Justice  Bhaskaran Nambiar Commission had recommended the prosecution of the  guilty as there was loss worth Rs 75 crore in the construction of the plant.  Compared to the amount paid to the French company by Yelehanka project in Karnataka, the Brahmapuram plant had to pay more amount for the same generators. CPM state secretariat on Thursday  alleged that the government was sabotaging the Vigilance enquiry into the corruption involved in the setting up of the Brahmapuram diesel power plant, by disbanding the Vigilance team.
