THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Bus operators have called off the indefinite strike they planned to launch from Saturday. The decision came after discussions with Transport Minister VS Sivakumar here on Thursday.T Gopinathan, convener of the Bus Owners' Coordination Committee, said that the final report of the Justice A Ramachandran Committee appointed to study the fare hike was yet to be submitted to the State Government. Bus-owners will decide on the future course of action after the report is submitted, he said."The minister said that only an interim report has been submitted at present. The complete picture will be available only after the final report is submitted," Gopinathan said.According to him, the minister has promised that the report would be tabled by September 20.
