PALAKKAD: A CBI team visited the house of Malabar Cements Ltd former secretary V Saseendran, who was found dead along with his sons at his residence on January 24, 2011, to collect evidence in connection with the unnatural deaths. The team includes DIG Senkathir, SP Raghukumar, DySP Ravindranathan Nair, former Cusaba CI M K Surendran, SI N K Kumaran and scientific assistant Annamma John. Saseendran’s wife B Teena, parents and brother V Raveendran were present at the house during the visit.Saseendran was one of the main witnesses in the cases in which three chargesheets were filed by the Vigilance and Anti-corruption Bureau regarding the corruption at MCL. It was on a petition by Teena that the High Court ordered a CBI inquiry into the death of Saseendran and his two sons, Vivek S and Vyas S, at their Kurudikad residence at Kanjikode. The CBI had filed an FIR in the designated court in Kochi naming MCL managing director M Sundaramurthy, executive secretary P Narayanan and contractor V M Radhakrishnan as accused. The family members of Saseendran had petitioned the Chief Minister demanding to hand over the probe into the corruption at MCL also to the CBI.
