The stoic silence of the Central Board of Secondary Education – CBSE over Class 10th & 12th Board Exams 2017 Date Sheet is showing visible signs of disappointment amongst students. With much pun-intended tweets by various students on social sharing platform Twitter, the speculation of CBSE releasing the Date Sheet in the first week of January 2018 comes quashing.
A CBSE Spokesperson has again declined to quote an exact date for releasing the exam schedule and stated that the Date Sheet will be 'out soon'. However, this statement is not going too well with the students and here's what's been circulating on twitter since the weekend:
"#Cbse acts like it has to release top CIA information that they don't release the date sheet for Boards 2018. Why? They don't even have a Twitter account." tweeted a user and her tweet got an astounding response with several re-tweets, comments and likes.

Another twitter user questioned if the officials would release it on Sunday, the 7th of January, aiming at the speculation that CBSE was expected to release the Date Sheet in first week of January 2018.

And there are some who are now roping in Prakash Javdekar - the incumbent Union Minister of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), and the twitter handle of HRD Ministry in their tweets.

For some students it is ironical that in the age of Digitalisation, CBSE does not have its presence on Social Media platforms to spread and share authentic information in real time.
CBSE has already announced the exam schedule for JEE Main and NEET UG – the two most competitive tests for engineering and medical aspirants. There is a substantial lot of students that has to appear for JEE Mains and NEET UG and the preparation goes well if the exam schedule is accessible at this stage itself.

Meanwhile, as per a report in a leading newspaper published earlier last week, a senior CBSE official had confirmed that the exams will begin after Holi; on Monday, 5th March 2018 in all likelihood for Class 10th and 12th simultaneously. Also, while the exams for Class 12th are expected to wrap up in April 2018, the exam schedule for Class 10th will be concluded in the month of March 2018 itself.
