BANGALORE: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is planning to develop international capabilities and resources for its schools and teachers by adopting a public-private partnership (PPP) model.The Board has planned to bolster its resources through the Centre for Assessment, Evaluation and Research, for which it has invited private bidders, “The bidding process for private partners will be conducted in two stages - technical and commercial - in what we call the two-bid system.In order to bid, the private player should be a not-forprofit organisation and has to fulfil the technical prerequisite and other evaluation criteria on the first stage itself,” said a CBSE source.Once the private player successfully bids for the first stage, it will be eligible for participation in the second stage of the bidding process.Interested bidders may apply by downloading the form from the official CBSE website - www.cbse.nic.in.During the technical bid, they should draw a demand draft for `2,000 in favour of the Secretary, CBSE, payable at Delhi.The last date for private bidders to apply is July 18.
